Digital delivery platforms are of great use to many citizens, hence their growth. For the second time in the space of a month, couriers from applications such as Uber Eats, Bolt Food and Glovo will stop, demanding better working conditions.

Organized through a WhatsApp group called "Estafetas Unidos", which brings together more than a thousand workers from across the country, the strike by couriers on digital platforms, such as Uber Eats, Bolt Food and Glovo, is the second in the space of a month .

Today, in what they said would be the biggest strike ever, the Workers must stop for six hours, from 6pm to midnightdemanding better working conditions and the readjustment of fees.

According to the national press, workers demand a minimum payment of three euros per delivery, plus 50 cents for each kilometer traveled over distances of two to 4.9 kilometres, and an extra euro for journeys longer than five kilometres.

Currently, digital platform couriers earn between 80 cents and €1.20 for each delivery. After all, to have enough income to cover expenses, they are forced to work 12, 14 and even 16 hours a day.

To get around the strike, however, the companies responsible for the platforms have already decided that they will pay more to couriers who work during the strike.
