National and international postal services will be readjusted; see prices

Postal services provided by the Brazilian Post and Telegraph Company in Brazil will undergo an adjustment of 4.39%, starting on April 3rd. The measure, which corresponds to the correction of inflation according to the variation in the Broad National Consumer Price Index (IPCA) in 2023, was published in the Official Gazette of the Union this Monday (25), in an order from the Ministry of Communications.

The rate for sending national letters and postcards weighing up to 20 grams (g) will go from R$2.45 to R$2.55, while the maximum, from 450g to 500g, will go from R$13.35 to R$ $13.80. The simple authorized franking of letters (FAC) was also readjusted and can vary from R$2.27 to R$12.17, depending on the weight in grams.

The national telegram will have different values ​​depending on the chosen modality and will cost R$ 10.74, via internet, R$ 12.96 for the service provided by telephone and R$ 15.56, in cases of pre-paid contracting at agencies . To send parcels with large volumes calculated in kilos, and contracted by a legal entity, it is necessary to consult the distance and weight table available on the Correios website.

International shipments will be charged for groups of countries separated by region, with five groups: group 1 (Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay), group 2 (other countries in South America), group 3 (Central and North America), group 4 ( Europe) and group 5 (Asia and the Middle East, Africa and Oceania). And the values ​​may vary from R$4.30 to R$239.60, depending on the weight in grams and the country group for shipping.
