Brothers of man arrested for death of gospel singer are murdered

Sara’s husband, Ederlan Mariano, was arrested at the end of October 2023. The Civil Police of Bahia said that he had confessed to having ordered the murder, but the defense denied this and said that he declared himself innocent.
The pastor’s body was found in BA-093, in the region of Dias D’ávila, 54 km from Salvador. Charred, the corpse was in a forested area, next to the track.
According to the police, Ederlan paid R$2,000 to his accomplices to kill his wife, an amount that was divided into four parts. Furthermore, the victim’s husband promised another R$15,000, but this amount was not paid. See how the value was divided:
- Bishop Zadoque received R$900 — he is pointed out by the police as responsible for killing Sara, hiding the corpse and trying to erase the evidence of the crime;
- Victor Gabriel de Oliveira won R$500 — the suspect would have been responsible for holding Sara so that Zadoque could kill her, in addition to participating in hiding the victim’s body;
- Gideão Duarte received R$400 — he is appointed as responsible for taking Sara to the meeting of the executioners and then transporting the accomplices away from the scene of the crime;
- Another R$200 was paid to an unidentified manwho did not directly participate in the crime, but knew of the plans to kill Sara Mariano.
