Woman in the back of a pickup truck is thrown from the vehicle during an accident in Bahia; victim died | Bahia

A 38-year-old woman died after the driver of the truck she was traveling in lost control of the steering wheel and the vehicle crashed into a pole, on Wednesday night (27), in Xique-Xique, in western Bahia.

According to the Military Police, Vanessa Vieira dos Santos was in the back of the truck and was thrown during the accident. Three other people, two men and a woman, were injured.

The accident happened around 9 pm, on the local road that connects the municipality with the district of Nova Iguira.

One of the men is 56 years old and was taken to the Irecê Regional Hospital, in serious condition. The other two people, aged 40 and 21, had injuries considered minor and were taken to the Xique-Xique Municipal Hospital.

Vanessa Vieira’s body was sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) in Irecê. There are still no details about her wake and burial.
