From the name, it sounds British. In fact, even the proposal seems imported from the United Kingdom, but the Arrow One is a legitimate Brazilian that is now receiving an important international award, the iF Design Award 2024.
Developed by Arrow Mobility, which is actually Brazilian, the One becomes a milestone for the national automotive industry, being awarded in the product design category for the commercial vehicle segment.
The iF Design Award is organized by the International Forum Design GmbH, based naturally in Germany, and is one of the most renowned competitions in the world.
It recognizes exceptional projects in design and innovation across multiple categories, including architecture, packaging, communications and transportation. In the latter, the Arrow One was awarded with its modern and fluid design, made to also be versatile.
João Paulo Melo, Lead Creative Officer (CCO) at Arrow Mobility, commented: “We are very proud to receive the iF Design Award 2024. The Brazilian electric car combines technology, innovation and sustainability, and this award is recognition of our commitment to offering efficient logistics solutions”.
With a fusion of lines and shapes that focus on technology and versatility, the Arrow One has striking geometric shapes and an interior with a clean dashboard equipped with an infotainment screen, providing an intuitive and technological experience.
The external lighting is entirely LED, combining a distinct visual signature with a focus on safety. However, Arrow One remains in development, with the prototyping and testing phases having begun.
Built like a huge full-body van, with a single-wheel rear axle and pantograph access side door, the Arrow One measures 6.20 m long, 2.00 m wide, 2.90 m high and 3.55 m between axles.
The One has a load capacity of 2 tons and 16.5 m³ of cargo compartment volume. Its autonomy is 200 km and recharging takes just 35 minutes. The cost for every R$1.00 in gasoline or diesel is R$0.20 in energy at Arrow.
