After the price rises in the week before Easter, the Portuguese return to work this Monday, with good news on fuel; or, at least, for those who have diesel cars. Since, on gasoline, on the contrary, nothing changes…

The data comes from the General Directorate of Energy and Geology (DGEG), which, based on sales values ​​to the public last week, but also the discounts and tax measures to mitigate prices imposed by the Government, now predicts yet another increase in the gasoline price. While, in diesel, the forecast is for a slight decline.

After increases before Easter, diesel and gasoline started a new week with opposite trends

Therefore, according to the same source, expectations are that, in the week that is now beginning, Portuguese drivers will be able to benefit from a 1.5 cent drop in the reference price of simple diesel, while the price of a liter of gasoline 95 octane should be around 2 cents more expensive.

Based on these forecasts, DGEG states that diesel without any additives could cost around €1,613/liter, while gasoline without additives should have a price in the order of €1,797/liter.

Despite the values ​​mentioned here, DGEG also recommends that consumers do not forget to consult the “Fuel Prices Online” portal, where they will be able to find more accurate and current prices, based on the brand, retailer and geographic area where they are located.
