Al-Hilal announced on their social media this Monday (01) that Aleksandar Mitrovic should be sidelined for six weeks. The team’s top scorer was injured in the clash against Vítor Pereira’s Al Shabab, in the 25th round of the Saudi Championship.
Mitrovic will be an important absence for Al-Hilal
The Serbian is expected to miss around ten games for Al-Hilal, including two more significant ones. Jorge Jesus’ team will face Al Ain, from the United Arab Emirates, led by Hernán Crespo, in the semifinals of the AFC Champions League. Mitrovic would lose both the first and second leg.
Since arriving in Arab football, the 29-year-old athlete has had a great time. In the Saudi league, Mitrovic has 22 goals and five assists in 22 matches. In the Asian Champions League, there are eight goals and two assists in ten games.
