The Homicide and Personal Protection Police Station (DHPP) arrested, this Tuesday (02), those accused of having orchestrated the murder of businessman Gersino Rosa dos Santos, aged 43, known as Nenê Games, and employee Cleyton de Oliveira de Souza Paulino, 27 years old, inside Shopping Popular, in Cuiabá. Mother and son were identified only by the initials, JBS, and her son, WBS, aged 31.

Delegate Nilson Faria, responsible for the investigation, stated that they were found in the city of Campo Grande (MS).

“We are here in the city of Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, where we carried out the arrest of those responsible for the double homicide that occurred at Shopping Popular. After the arrest of the perpetrator, we managed to reach the principals, mother and son”, he said.

The double murder took place on November 23 last year. Last week, the executioner, Silvio Júnior Peixoto, 26 years old, was captured in Minas Gerais. In testimony, he confessed that he received R$10,000 for the crime. He is in a penitentiary in Mato Grosso, where he awaits trial.

The identity of the masterminds, being mother and son, has not yet been disclosed. Inside the residence of those being investigated, the police found a 9mm caliber pistol, which was possibly used in the crime.

They must be sent to a custody hearing in MS. Nilson Faria should request the duo to be relocated to Mato Grosso.

Remember the case

The target, according to the police, was Gersino, owner of an electronics stand. Cleyton would have been killed by accident. He was an employee at another store within the mall.

The victims were shot dead inside the mall. They had no chance of being helped.
