Balmoral Castle

For the first time, British royal enthusiasts will have the opportunity to explore the interior of Balmoral Castle in Scotland. According to the Mirror website, the property was Queen Elizabeth II’s favorite refuge during European summer days.

In fact, the residence was the last place where the monarch rested before the announcement of her death, in September 2022. The visitation was authorized by King Charles III himself, and the announcement is already on the front page of the castle’s official website.

From May 4th to August 11th, visitors will have the chance to experience “real” life behind the gates of this historic building in Aberdeenshire.

Tickets are available for adults only, with two experience options. Those wishing to explore the interior of the castle will pay 100 pounds sterling (approximately R$634) per single entry.

For an experience worthy of royalty, visitors can enjoy afternoon tea outside the castle, paying 150 pounds (around R$950).

During the guided tour, tourists will have access to the rooms currently used by the majesties, in addition to learning about the history of the royal residence, acquired by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1984. In addition to the rooms, visitors will have the opportunity to admire some of the collections of King Charles’s watercolors on display, as well as the garments worn by Charles, Camilla, the late Queen Elizabeth II and the Queen Mother.

According to sources close to the royal family, the visit is expected to include the castle’s drawing room, where Queen Elizabeth was last photographed with former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss. However, the chances of tourists visiting the room where the queen said goodbye to her family are practically zero.
