Content/ODOC – A security camera recorded the moment when DJ Murilo da Silva Marques, aged 20, known as DJ ‘The Hacker’, was shot dead in Nova Mutum, last Saturday (30).
A 19-year-old young man, identified by the initials VHDS, was arrested by the Civil Police this Tuesday (2), in the city of Denise, identified as the author of the shooting. According to the Civil Police, the suspicion is that the crime was motivated by a factional war.
In the video, it is possible to see the moment when two men on a motorcycle approach, the pillion rider gets out and shoots the DJ several times. The young man was leaning against the wall of a nightclub in the city, where he was going to perform that same night.
Prison
On Sunday (31), the Federal Highway Police (PRF) took a couple to the Nova Mutum Civil Police station for illegal possession of a firearm.
The civil police suspected that the detained man might have been linked to the DJ’s murder. EFMS, 29 years old, is involved with a criminal faction and was arrested with a silver revolver, with the same characteristics as the one used in the victim’s death and also in an attempted murder that occurred in March.
After uninterrupted investigations and image surveys, reconnaissance and interviews, the Specialized Robbery and Theft Police Station (Derf) of Nova Mutum arrived at the identity of the perpetrator of the crime.
According to the delegate responsible for the investigation, Guilherme Pompeo, VHDS, aged 19, is a resident of the city of Denise and went to Mutum exclusively to commit the crime.
Soon after executing the victim, he returned to his city and abandoned the used motorcycle, which was identified as stolen.
The Derf team located him, working on a construction site in Denise. He was monitored by an electronic ankle bracelet, but the device had not emitted signals since mid-March.
The investigation indicates that the first suspect, led by the PRF, provided the firearm and Honda Bros motorcycle used for the murder. The criminal arrested in Denise was responsible for shooting the DJ.
Interrogated at the police unit, the person responsible for the murder confessed to the crime and said he belonged to a criminal faction.
