The aid package for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan was approved this Tuesday by the United States Senate, according to Reuters, also mentioning that all that remains is for Joe Biden, US president, to sign the law.

During the voting, 72 voted in favor and 13 against the advancement of the package of four bills approved by the Chamber, more than the 60 needed to pave the way for a final vote this Tuesday or Wednesday.

One of the proposals foresees 61 billion dollars for Ukraine (around 60 billion euros), a second 26 billion dollars for Israel (around 25 billion euros) and a third 8.12 billion dollars “to combat communist China” in the Indo-Pacific (around 7 billion euros).

Another proposal includes a potential ban on the social media app TikTok, measures to transfer seized Russian assets to Ukraine and new sanctions against Iran.
