More than three years after the launch of Smile (2020), sixth studio album, Katy Perry is ready for new releases, and indicates a return with “one of my biggest songs” to date.

To celebrate its cover in the March issue of the magazine Glam in 2018, Perry revisited some of his biggest singles while watching fan covers on YouTube – and talked about his new perspective with “I Kissed a Girl”.
The singer also stated that “your mind changes a lot and you grow a lot”, and “what is true for you can evolve.”
Bisexuality wasn’t talked about as much at that time, nor was any kind of fluidity. If I had to write that song again, I would probably make an edit to it. Lyrically, it contains some stereotypes.

Perry did not specify which letters she would adjust, but the bet would be: “I kissed a girl just to try it / I hope my boyfriend doesn’t mind” It is “It’s not what good girls do.” / It’s not how they should behave.”
