The Union of Parishes of Moura and Santo Amador (UFMSA) is holding the traditional Municipal Tournament of Malha, today, April 25th, starting at 8am, at the Fairs and Exhibitions Park, in Moura. The participants, 40 teams of men, 12 teams of women and 06 teams of young people over 18 years old, show their skills in one of the most popular games among the population of Alentejo.

50 years of the 25th of April brings together generations of students at Moura school
The test is for the president of the Union of Parishes of Moura and Santo Amador, “a day of fraternization so that everyone can share a morning/afternoon sharing things together, playing and having fun, because it’s good that adults can also to play. Francisco Canudo Sena assured that what is in dispute between the teams, “is not the prizes, but rather being together in good spirits and harmony, around a good Portuguese stew. It’s celebrating the 50th anniversary of April in an altruistic and simple way. Remember that everyone up until then made sure that the 25th of April could happen and that this year marks its fiftieth anniversary”. A Revolution that, in Canudo Sena’s opinion, “was so important for the Portuguese people and for all the people that at the time we interacted with as colonizers”, recalled the mayor of Moura.
