Identified from Rio Grande do Sul who died in a bus accident in Chile

An accident with a tourist bus, which left Lajeado on an excursion, which occurred in the early hours of this Friday (26), in the north of Chile, resulted in the death of two people. Another 33 people were injured, three of whom remain in serious condition.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the bus, coming from Porto Alegre, was carrying 42 people. The Consulate General in Santiago continues to monitor the situation and provides assistance to Brazilians.

“The Brazilian government conveys its sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims, and wishes the injured a full recovery. Brazil is also grateful for the collaboration of the competent Chilean authorities”, informed Itamaraty, in a note.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, one of the victims of the accident is teacher Terezinha Mezzomo Preto, from David Canabarro. “At this very painful moment, we offer our condolences to all family and friends”, lamented the city council, in a statement.
