Hours after Anderson Leonardo’s death, members of Molejo are robbed in RJ. Find out details

Members of the Molejo group were victims of a robbery this Friday (26), in Rio de Janeiro. The crime occurred on the same day that the band’s leader, Anderson Leonardo, died, aged 51, after two years of fighting inguinal cancer.

The information was confirmed by the group’s official Instagram profile. “Unfortunately, we were victims of a robbery today, resulting in the interruption of our communications via telephone and WhatsApp. We are currently in the process of recovering and resuming our operations. We ask for the understanding of the press and other interested parties as we deal with this situation” , says the note.

According to information from G1, one of the team’s cars was broken into. So far, members of Molejo have not revealed any further details of the crime and the losses.

Anderson died in the early afternoon of this Friday (26). Since the end of March, he had been admitted to a hospital in Barra da Tijuca, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, due to his worsening illness.

On the 11th, Anderson returned to his room, but returned to the ICU this Monday (22), when a blood donation campaign for the samba singer began. Hours before his death, the medical team had already classified his health condition as very serious.

Inguinal cancer affects the penis and anus and is generally characterized by the appearance of a lump in the groin. Anderson revealed the diagnosis to the public in late 2022.
