Mother has needed psychological support

Roberta Isaac, mother of João Vinícius, said that she has not yet had access to the conclusion of the investigation. However, she thanked the police for their work and said she expects punishment for all those indicted.:

“I appreciate the work of the police, always ready to assist me, every time I went there, the police chief served me very well. I hope the accused are punished. Somehow, they need to be punished, because an event of a large scale like this, it could never have been organized in the way it was. It’s lives! The public pays to be there, so they have to ensure the safety of the people there. It’s a huge mistake, because he was a boy. of gold. He didn’t give me any work, he was responsible, he worked, he studied. So, sometimes it’s hard to even believe that it happened”, he said.

João Vinícius’ mother also said that since her son’s death, she has needed constant psychiatric care. She also highlighted that she has been on medical leave from work since her son’s death and that the company responsible for the festival only contacted the family on the day of the young man’s funeral:

“They only contacted me on the day, given all the repercussions on the day of my son’s funeral. They called at night. But anyway… nothing more. I’m on sick leave, yes, because of that. I I’m undergoing psychiatric treatment, I’m taking medication… medication. It’s really hard to hold on, but I believe it’s just time, right?

Investigations revealed that the event structure had significant flaws, such as a lack of adequate insulation and bare, submerged wires.

The food truck owners, however, were not charged. According to the police, the examination confirmed that the truck’s electrical installations were in compliance and did not contribute to the accident.

A CBN He is still trying to contact the company organizing the event and Riocentro, where the festival took place.
