Without making much fanfare, Netflix has just announced the new season of Black Mirror, months after confirming the renewal. The anthological science fiction series is preparing to return to screens in 2025 with new episodes.
Created by Charlie Brooker, Black Mirror is a British production that features bizarre dystopian stories involving technology. The series became even more popular when it was acquired by Netflix, shocking its subscribers with its frightening plots.
In addition to revealing the seventh season of Black Mirror for 2025, the streaming platform announced that one of the most classic episodes of the series will have a sequel. USS Callisterfrom season 4, will have its story resumed.

Black Mirror: when does season 7 premiere
Netflix has confirmed that the seventh season of Black Mirror debut in 2025, but did not reveal a predicted day or month. We also don’t know anything about the cast or episode titles.
What has already been announced, however, is that the series continues to be led by Charlie Brooker, and will be executive produced by him alongside Jessica Rhoades and Annabel Jones.

Black Mirror: USS Callister
In the episode USS Callister, actor Jesse Plemons plays Robert Daly, a programmer who created a very popular video game. To draw even more attention to his creation, the character invented a simulated reality.
In this reality, Robert is Captain Kirk, who commands a spaceship. But as in Black Mirror nothing is that simple, the episode brings surprising twists.
Is Black Mirror still good?
The series Black Mirror has already had its peak, being one of the biggest television productions of its time. In recent seasons, however, the plot has shown a clear drop in quality, either surprising little with its stories or deviating from the initial focus, technology.
The latest episodes of Black Mirror They are no longer dedicated to showing the dangers of technologies such as virtual reality, artificial intelligence, excessive use of devices and other issues. Little by little, the plot was transformed into another anthology series with strange stories.

Now, it’s up to the seventh season to renew production once again, bringing a more interesting approach to the new episodes and making the audience interested in the plot again.
