Donald Trump, former president of the United States and Republican candidate for the White House, predicted this Saturday that there will be a “bloodbath” in the country if he loses the November presidential elections against the current president, Democrat Joe Biden.

“If I’m not elected, there’s going to be a bloodbath. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country,” Trump said during a rally in Ohio, his first since reaching the numbers needed to become the Republican nominee for the House. Branca, on Tuesday.

The New York tycoon did not clarify what he meant by these words, which he said while promising protectionist measures for vehicles manufactured in the United States, but added: “If this election is not won, I don’t know if there will be another election in this country.”

Trump, who never admitted defeat to Biden in the 2020 presidential elections, is accused of trying to reverse the electoral results four years ago and instigating the assault on the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

During his speech in Ohio, the Republican called those detained for attacking Congress “hostages” and promised to pardon them if he returns to the White House.

More than 1,230 people have been charged with federal crimes for their involvement in the January 6, 2021 riot, with around 750 having already been convicted. Of these, two thirds were sentenced to effective prison sentences.

Trump managed last Tuesday to win enough delegates in the primaries to mathematically guarantee his presidential nomination at the Republican Party convention next July.

Among other controversial statements, the Republican promised to be a “dictator” on the first day of his term and suggested that he would encourage Russia to attack NATO countries that did not meet defense spending quotas.
