Another plant extremely toxic but less known: the foxglove. However, it is common in Europe, particularly in France, as well as in northeastern North America. Surprisingly, this flower is used for heart failure. But in high doses, it causes hallucinations, headaches, nervous and even heart problems that can lead to death from cardiac arrest.

Despite the beauty of this flower, avoid planting it in your garden if you have small children who might want to ingest it. Be careful with this small shrub at this time. Witches’ broom (its name comes from the fact that you can make brooms by letting the leaves dry) is a toxic plant. The flowers and berries of Cytisus scoparius are toxic. If you ingest them: cold sweats, cyanosis, headaches, hallucinations or even coma! Just that…

And finally, a plant known for its toxicity: belladonna. The main problem with Belladonna atropa – besides its venom – is the fact that it resemble certain varieties of cherries and blueberries. Especially because your taste is sweet. Which makes this plant even more dangerous.

It only takes 2 to 5 nightshade berries to kill a child and 10 to 15 berries to kill an adult. In low doses, it can cause dry mouth, redness of the face and neck, fever, agitation, tachycardia, hypertension and headache. Without rapid treatment, ingestion of belladonna causes respiratory paralysis and, consequently, death.

For avoid any accident related to its plants and flowers, which are certainly very beautiful, it is better not to plant them in your garden, especially if you have small children or pets.
