Claudia Campo is today the fourth female officer of Pinto da Costa, after having tied the knot with the president of the Dragons at the end of last summer. A civil union that consolidates a relationship that has lasted for around six years and which has been much more discreet than some of the Porto leader’s previous ones.

The 46-year-old banker does not appear as publicly as her predecessors and it is only now that we are beginning to see her more at important and institutional events alongside Jorge Nuno. It’s been like this for the last year and, recently, at the premiere of the documentary ‘Mr. Presidente’, which traces the journey of 86-year-old Pinto da Costa on Prime Video, Cláudia was with her husband and his family, showing that she is already part of the clan.

In the documentary, and if we exclude a brief appearance by journalist Maria Elisa, who dated Pinto da Costa many years ago, Cláudia is the only one of her companions to have prominent honors, with the ‘ex’ being excluded from the Porto president’s story. In a family environment, she appears alongside her husband, with the couple’s dog, and revealed some of the most intimate moments, never shared publicly until then, about how the love story with Pinto da Costa began.

And it was precisely in the bank where he worked, in the Antas area, that things started to heat up. One day, as fate would have it, the leader of the Dragons ended up at the counter where Cláudia was working. According to the banker, the empathy was immediate and, suddenly, Pinto da Costa had many more matters to deal with at the bank. “At the time, I worked at the bank here in Antas and he was a customer there. I remember that from the first day he saw me there was empathy and he actually started going there not daily but weekly. Until one day in which he invited me to lunch and whether I would accept if he invited me. And I said of course, obviously yes”he says, adding that once the initial awkwardness was over, the two started having a lot of fun together.

“It was complicated at first because a person has that idea of the president, that imposing figure, who maintains respect, but he is completely the opposite. In a life together he is spectacular, he is a super fun person, with a fantastic sense of humor “, he says, saying that Pinto da Costa is passionate about poetry and already wakes up listening to fado.

Cláudia Campo’s participation in the documentary was short, but the appearance clearly shows the role that the banker started to play in Pinto da Costa’s life. Today, she is accepted by the whole family and maintains a relationship of friendship and respect with the Porto president’s youngest daughter, Joana, something that did not happen in the past. It is worth remembering that she had a tense relationship with her father’s ex-partner, Fernanda Miranda, which prevented them from being deprived.

“With Fernanda there was no possible relationship. They were simply incompatible. Where one was, the other didn’t go”recalls a source, speaking of Fernanda Miranda, the Brazilian woman the leader married and with whom he also led some controversies.

THE DARK SIDE OF RELATIONSHIPS

In the documentary, Pinto da Costa admits that he is a man of passions and, in fact, there were several relationships that we met with the Porto president, who married for the fifth time at the age of 85 – twice with the same woman, Filomena Morais.

The first marriage was with the mother of his eldest son, Manuela Carmona, with Pinto da Costa also being married to Fernanda Miranda, and the aforementioned union also with Filomena. Furthermore, he has several media romances on his CV, as was the case with his controversial relationship with Carolina Salgado, which is linked to the life story of the Dragons’ strongman. And the truth is that not all of them ended in the best way.

In the documentary, the person who tells it is his friend Fernando Póvoas, who admits that he was Pinto da Costa’s shoulder when things didn’t go well sentimentally. “We sat for many hours talking, I had tears in my eyes about the less good moments of his life. There was also some heartbreak at the end of some relationship and he also had a hard time. Because all the relationships he had were because he liked them and felt good with people”said the doctor without ever mentioning names.

The happy years of Carolina Salgado and Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa

What is certain is that the nutritionist was alongside Pinto da Costa in some of the most popular novels, as was the case with Carolina Salgado. The relationship would end in great controversy with tense scenes and a complaint from the former companion that would start the Apito Dourado process.

Today, the president seems calmer in matters of love, but those closest to him assure that with him it is always unpredictable and there may be surprises at all times. “Right now, I would say that Cláudia would be his last wife, but who knows?” asks the source.
