After 15 years leading the eponymous program, Eliana will end her contract with SBT. The announcement was made by the broadcaster, together with the presenter, this Monday (1st).
The statement states that the decision was friendly and mutual, and that, now, Eliana wants to experience new professional challenges. Despite her departure, the presenter will continue to be Godmother of Telethon and will return to the station to present the program.
SBT also reinforced its “affection and support for the presenter, in whatever paths she intends to follow” and informed that “the doors will always be open for her”.
The presenter will say goodbye to the channel in June 2024.
Eliana on SBT
The presenter arrived at the station in 1991, to lead children’s programs. In this first visit, Eliana stayed for seven years.
In 2009, Sílvio Santos invited Eliana to return to SBT and lead a Sunday program that would bear her name. In these 15 years on air, the presenter has ventured to several states across Brazil and the world, interviewed celebrities such as Hebe Camargo, Xuxa, Angélica, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Chris Evans (Captain America), Antonio Banderas and much more .
