SBT released a note on the afternoon of this Monday, 1st, to announce that Eliana will leave the broadcaster in June 2024. After 15 years in the companythe presenter chose to end her contract to dedicate herself to new projects.
“Eliana decided it was time for a new phase with other professional challenges”, says a statement issued by the broadcaster.
“Both parties legitimately express their mutual gratitude and wish the best for the future. SBT also reinforces its affection and support for the presenter in whatever paths she intends to follow, and informs that the doors will always be open for her”, he added .
Trajectory
Eliana began her career as a presenter at the age of 18, on SBT, in 1991, leading children’s programs. She left the station after seven years to go to RecordTV, where she spent almost 11 years.
The presenter returned to Silvio Santos’ channel in 2009, to lead a Sunday program, more focused on the adult audience.
Over almost 15 years on air, Eliana’s program interviewed some of the biggest celebrities in the world, such as Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, Justin Bieber, Xuxa Meneghel, Angélica and Hebe Camargo.
The presenter has not yet revealed what the direction of her career will be after leaving the São Paulo broadcaster.
