DIt took a while, but the series about Tony Carreira’s life will actually see the light of day.
This Wednesday, April 24th, TVI revealed the names that make up the cast of this production and it is already known that there are three actors who will play the different phases of the Portuguese romantic singer’s life.
“Gabriel Conde will play the singer between the ages of six and 10, while Duarte Estrela will play the teenage version until Carlos Félix reaches the young adult stage”can be read in the statement released in the meantime.
Bárbara Lourenço will take on the role of Fernanda Antunes, Tony Carreira’s ex-wife and mother of his three children. “Duarte Grilo and Cleia Almeida are Tony’s parents, Custódia Gallego and João Lagarto are his grandparents and Miguel Bugalho will be his brother, José Antunes”, concludes the note.
TVI also says that “the miniseries follows the artist’s journey from his childhood in Armadouro, where he dealt with hunger and poverty, to his years of immigration to France, the beginning of his career and the fight for success to acclaim as one of the greatest singers Portuguese romantics”.
‘Tony’, as the production will be called, will have four episodes and recording has already begun.
