Abramed will participate in JPR 2024 addressing the future of health and the role of the radiologist

The event will be held at the Transamérica Expo Center, in São Paulo, between May 2nd and 5th, bringing together experts and professionals from the sector

March 15, 2024 – Taking part in another edition of the Jornada Paulista de Radiologia (JPR), the Brazilian Association of Diagnostic Medicine (Abramed) will hold on May 2nd, from 2:00 pm to 3:20 pm, the debate “The Role of the Radiologist in the Health of the Future”, seeking to contribute to discussions about the constantly evolving scenario of diagnostic medicine.

Moderated by Marcos Queiroz, director of Diagnostic Medicine at Albert Einstein and leader of the Abramed Radiology and Imaging Committee, the panel will feature the participation of Cibele Carvalho, president of the Brazilian College of Radiology and Imaging Diagnosis (CBR); Marina Viana, executive director Brazil at GE HealthCare; and Felipe Kitamura, director of Applied Innovation and Artificial Intelligence at Dasa. The opening and closing will be in charge of Milva Pagano, executive director of Abramed.

The debate will address the central role that the radiologist will play at the intersection between advanced technology and patient care, ensuring accurate, personalized diagnoses and significantly helping to advance digital health.

Among the topics discussed will be information management, involving the analysis of the benefits related to interoperability and its challenges; and the education and adaptation of the radiology professional to stay up to date with the latest technologies, techniques and regulations on artificial intelligence (AI).

JPR 2024, which will take place at the Transamérica Expo Center in São Paulo between May 2nd and 5th, will be a unique opportunity for healthcare professionals and industry leaders to explore emerging trends and technological advances that will shape the future of radiology and health as a whole.

During the event, Abramed representatives will share insights about best practices, challenges and opportunities faced by professionals in the sector.
