With activities focused on women’s month, the Municipal Council for Women’s Rights of Arapongas held this Thursday (21), an awareness campaign against domestic violence. According to the president of the Council and also coordinator of Patrol Maria da Penha, GM Michele Zanin, the action is part of a schedule of activities focused on the municipality’s public policies. “We carried out leafleting in reference to Women’s Month, but also aimed at combating violence in the long term. The actions take place with the participation of representatives from the OAB-Subsection Arapongas, Municipal Guard, Military Police and Casa Refúgio das Marias”, explained Zanin .
Operation Atria
During the month of March, the municipality of Arapongas carries out Operation Átria, with awareness-raising activities and guidance against domestic and family violence. These actions are part of “Operation Atria”, where security forces from across Brazil seek to combat gender-based violence.
