Mayor Luciano Barbosa published a video on his social networks, this Tuesday (26), calling on Arapiraca society to participate in the “Your Income Tax Changes the Future” campaign.

The campaign is an initiative of the Municipal Secretariat for Social Development (SMDS) in partnership with the Municipal Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (CMDCA), Association of Accountants of the State of Alagoas (Ascontal), Municipal Fund for the Defense of Children and the Adolescent of Arapiraca (FMDCA), Regional Accounting Council (CRC/AL), State University of Alagoas (Uneal) and Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), Arapiraca section.

The aforementioned campaign allows any citizen to allocate resources to the Municipal Fund for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (FMDCA), through the annual Income Tax (IR) 2024 declaration.

With your help, the future of children and adolescents at social risk and vulnerability can be transformed. The amount will be invested in projects by the CMDCA to provide care and protection for our children and adolescents.

Taxpayers have until May 31st to donate up to 3% of the tax due to the FIA, the deadline for submitting the 2023 Personal Income Tax Declaration. Taxpayers can donate part of the tax directly in the declaration.

To donate, the taxpayer needs to fill out their Income Tax declaration using the Federal Revenue form; click on Declaration Summary, then choose the desired level “Municipal”, select the Children and Adolescent Fund at the municipal level (CNPJ 18.969.264/0001-13.

The program itself will calculate the amount that can be donated and the DARF will be issued.

The 2023 campaign raised resources from taxpayers and transferred R$320,000 to eight philanthropic institutions in Arapiraca.
