Juiz de Fora City Hall (PJF) continues immunization against Covid-19 in the municipality in the week of April 1st to 5th. The vaccine is part of the national vaccination calendar and is indicated each six months for people aged 60 or over, pregnant and postpartum women and immunosuppressed, and once a year for people living in long-term care institutions (LTCF), health workers, people with permanent disabilities, people with comorbidities, people deprived of liberty, employees of the deprivation of liberty system, adolescents and young people fulfilling socio-educational measures and people in situations of street. Children under five years of age also receive vaccines, as determined by the National Immunization Program (PNI), in three doses, with an interval of four and eight weeks, respectively.

Remembering that those who have not taken any doses and are not in the groups, but wish to be vaccinated, can also look for a health unit. A Flu vaccination campaign is also underway and the vaccines can be taken together.

The vaccine against Covid-19 is available in Basic Health Units (UBSs) spread across the city, from 9am to 4:30pm. On Thursdays, the vaccination time in the afternoon is until 2pm.

Pregnant and postpartum women can also seek this vaccine at the Department of Women’s, Pregnant, Child and Adolescent Health (DSMGCA), at Rua São Sebastião, 772/776, Centro, from 8 am to 11:30 am and from 1 pm to 4 pm.

O Elderly Health Service (Sasi)at Rua Batista de Oliveira, 943, in the Granbery neighborhood, offers the vaccine to people over 18 years of age, from 8 am to 4 pm, without a break at lunchtime.

We reinforce the request for everyone who will be vaccinated to bring a printed and completed Vaccination Form, the model of which is available in the annex. This makes screening easier and speeds up the vaccination process.

Bedridden patients, who belong to the priority public, in areas uncovered by a Basic Health Unit (UBS), should contact us by phone (32) 3214-4180.

To receive the vaccine, the immunosuppressed person needs a solid organ or bone marrow transplant; living with HIV; with active immune-mediated inflammatory diseases and using corticosteroids greater than or equal to 20 mg/day of prednisone, or equivalent, for 14 or more days; use immunosuppressants and/or immunobiologicals that lead to immunosuppression; with inborn errors of immunity; with chronic kidney disease on hemodialysis; cancer patients who underwent chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment in the last six months; and people with hematological malignancies.

Health workers are those who work in health care and surveillance spaces and establishments, whether hospitals, clinics, outpatient clinics, laboratories and other places. Thus, it includes health professionals such as doctors, nurses, nutritionists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, biologists, biomedical scientists, pharmacists, dentists, speech therapists, psychologists, social workers, physical education professionals, veterinarians and their respective technicians and assistants; as well as support workers, such as receptionists, security guards, cleaning staff, cooks and assistants, ambulance drivers and others, that is, those who work in health services, but who are not providing direct health care services to people.

It also includes those professionals who work in home care, such as caregivers for the elderly and doulas/midwives. The vaccine will also be offered to health students who are providing assistance in health services. For proof purposes, health workers must take declarationsattached at the end of this text, depending on the activity/link.

Routine

Routine immunizations are applied in Basic Health Units (UBS) spread across the municipality and in the Elderly Health Service (Sasi), exclusively for the population aged 60 and over. Routine vaccines can be received together with vaccines against Covid-19, without any kind of problem.

Documentation

Those who are going to receive the first dose of the vaccine must present originals and copies of a photo identification document (such as an identity document (RG) or driver’s license) and the CPF, if its number is not included on the ID, in addition to the form printed and completed vaccination form. Children, pre-teens and teenagers who do not have an identity document can present a birth certificate.

People with comorbidities or immunosuppressed, in addition to these documents, must present a medical report or certificate dated no more than 12 months ago, proving the condition. Pregnant women need to present the prenatal card, and postpartum women, the child’s birth certificate. People with disabilities must present a medical report or certificate dated no more than 12 months ago.
