The Health Department of Lucas do Rio Verde promoted, on Friday night (19), a special action to vaccinate against Flu (children under 6 years old and priority groups), Covid-19 (children under 5 years old and groups priority) and routine (according to the national calendar).

The objective of the action was to provide a different time, outside of business hours, for parents and guardians to take their children to be vaccinated. In total, more than 252 doses were administered and 181 people were treated.

Health Surveillance supervisor Claudia Engelmann points out that it was an important action. “I emphasize the need for vaccination, as we have influenza circulating in our municipality, causing great demand for health units due to the symptoms it causes. The vaccination target for children, pregnant women, women who have recently given birth and the elderly is still at 15%, and they are the people who most need this protection. Our units remain open during normal hours for care and vaccinations,” she explains.

It is important to highlight that vaccinations continue to be carried out in all basic health units (UBS), from Monday to Friday, from 7am to 10:30am and from 1pm to 4:30pm.
