The prince William, 41 years old, reappears two days after being absent from the tribute to King Constantine of Greece, his godfather, claiming “Personal reasons” not to be present at St. George’s Chapel, in Windsor, in a ceremony in which he would even speak before the guests and family of the late Greek monarch.

With a serious look, the son of Charles III He returned to fulfilling his institutional agenda and visited a synagogue in Marble Arch, in central London.

According to information provided by Kensington Palace, anti-Semitic abuse and attacks are increasing in England, which is why the Prince of Wales decided to meet Jewish communities to find out how they are dealing with the problem.

Upon her arrival, the future king met with members of the local Jewish community and Holocaust survivors, who spoke to her about their experiences. She then joined the Holocaust Educational Trust’s young ambassadors, who fight against hate and anti-Semitism.

During the conversation he had in the temple, William recalled that “prejudice has no place in society.” And he went further, also speaking in the name of Kate.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I want everyone to know that they can talk about the subject and their experiences. Both Catherine and I are extremely concerned about the rise in anti-Semitism that you spoke about this morning and I am very sorry if either of youyou had to go through that. There is no place for that… That’s why I’m here today, to reassure you that people care and listen and that we cannot let that happen.”

The young people present, from all backgrounds and beliefs, participated in the project Lessons from Auschwitzduring which they learned about the history of the Holocaust and visited the former Nazi concentration and extermination camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau, in Poland.

At the end of the project, their mission will be to ensure that hate is reported wherever it exists.

This visit comes after William broke protocol and spoke about political issues, showing himself attentive to what is currently happening in the Gaza Strip.

“I remain deeply concerned about the terrible human cost of the conflict in the Middle East since the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7th. Too many people died. Like many others, I want to see the fighting end as quickly as possible.”

These words from the Prince of Wales did not go down well in all quarters, although they are a far cry from the firm position adopted by other members of royalty, such as Rania from Jordan.

It therefore made sense for the prince to now listen to students and young people who have been affected by the rise in hatred and anti-Semitism.

In fact, engagement with members of the Holocaust Educational Trust was already planned. Originally, it was to coincide with International Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Holocaust, on January 27, and was to be attended by the Princes of Wales, but due to Kate’s surgery, it was postponed to a later date.

The princess remains in convalescence and away from public events, but she was not forgotten on this visit. In addition to William mentioning it in his speech, as previously mentioned, Renee Salta Holocaust survivor, with whom the grandson of Elizabeth II he was talking, he also talked about her.

I am sure that if the sIf his wife were well, she would be here. I miss her a lot. Give him my regards,” he said, while the prince held his hands with empathy.
