The Epidemiological Surveillance of the Rio Grande Health Department suspended the replenishment of municipal network stations with doses of the Influenza flu vaccine, which was scheduled to take place this Monday (6). The doses that had already been sent to various stations were collected and will be available to the population only at Station IV (Canalete), a location that has a cold chain to store the vaccines.
The collection was decided by the Secretariat’s management for prevention, in order to avoid loss of vaccines, which could occur due to floods, lack of access to some Health units and the possibility of interruption in the power supply in some locations. As soon as the situation returns to normal, the doses will be redistributed.
Priority Groups
To receive the dose against the Influenza flu, the person must present the Vaccination Booklet, identity document and CPF and the SUS Card.
Surveillance highlights the need to continue vaccinating the population in priority groups, due to their greater vulnerability to illness. In this way, it asks the entire population to attend vaccination sites and take friends and family who are on the priority list to also be immunized.
