On the morning of this Wednesday, February 28, 2024, the signing of the protocol that ensures the continuity of the health care project called Bata Branca took place. The event took place in the Town Hall, by the Mayor of Azambuja – Silvino Lúcio, and the President of the Board of Directors of Cerci-Flor da Vida – José Manuel Franco, who in this way renewed the existing cooperation agreement between the two institutions with that purpose.

In this protocol, the municipality’s contribution remains at €13.00 for each hour of acts performed, under the Bata Branca project, however there is an increase in the monthly limit from €4,888.00 to €5,800, 00 €. The municipality will therefore make available a maximum annual budget of €69,600.00 to support medical consultations and health care for the municipality’s population without a designated family doctor. In turn, Cerci-Flor da Vida will continue to ensure the operationalization of the program and send monthly statistics of the acts carried out and the users covered to the municipality.

The agreement now signed will be in force until December 31, 2024.
