Portugal does it well: the DAM brand offers modern connections

Joana Santos and Hugo Silva are the designers responsible for the project, which emerged in 2013 after winning POPs – Projetos Originalais Portugueses, a competition organized by the Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art.

“The DAM brand was born from the desire to do something different and develop a unique project that would mark the Portuguese identity in the world”, says the duo Joana Santos and Hugo Silva.

Collection. Pieces designed and made by hand, combining traditional techniques and natural materials.

“DAM’s products combine design, craftsmanship and industry. Our focus is to be the brand of sustainable products favorite of decoration professionals not only in Portugal. That’s why we developed furniture and accessories of high quality, with natural materials Portuguese, destined to last generations and make a difference in spaces.”

The Alice bench seat, in wood and cork plywood, complements the line of chairs of the same name, being one of the brand’s new products.

Between the newsin addition to the Alice bank, highlighting the opening of online store of brand. “It was a project that had been kept in a drawer for a long time. This online store is differentiating, because we created the DAM & Friends section, where we promote and sell products from other national brands that share DAM’s philosophy. This is the case of Bisarro, Feltrando, Pardo, Pvra, Sugo Cork Rugs, Yntenzo, among others that we are integrating.”
