The 56th edition of AGRO – International Agriculture, Livestock and Food Fair, which took place between Thursday and Sunday, welcomed 50,669 people, the highest number ever, according to figures released by the organization.
In a statement, InvestBraga states that the event featured the traditional exhibition of forestry and agricultural machinery, tents with 500 animals, more than 200 exhibitors, showcookings, workshops and shows with horses in the new riding arena.
“There were more than 6,000 children from the municipality’s 1st and 2nd cycle schools alone. We wanted this to be a training fair”, says Carlos Silva, executive administrator of InvestBraga, for whom the importance of showing the origin of food products and the value chain created by the entire sector becomes increasingly essential.
Among the animals, chickens, sheep, rabbits, horses, cows of indigenous breeds and new breeds – Limousine and Angus – stood out. The usual livestock competitions were held again and this year there was an arena with horses, which attracted a lot of public.
