Valorlis launches 2nd edition of the poetry competition to promote glass recycling

Valorlis, the entity that manages the treatment and recovery of urban waste, announced the second edition of the poetry competition “Reutilizar Poesia, Reciclar Palavras”. With a focus on glass recycling, this competition seeks to inspire the community to adopt sustainable practices through art.

Aimed at poetry enthusiasts over the age of 10, the competition aims not only to celebrate literary expression, but also to raise awareness of the importance of correctly separating glass waste. Selected works will be highlighted in reusable bags, transforming poetry into a vehicle for environmental awareness.

The Executive Administrator of Valorlis, Marta Guerreiro, emphasizes that the competition is a way of “creating and consolidating writing habits, promoting poetry and increasing good recycling practices”. The initiative reflects the company’s commitment to environmental education and efficient waste management.

Interested parties can register until April 22, submitting their poems through the official Valorlis website, where the full competition rules are also available.
