The funeral of the 38-year-old driver, who died on Sunday after his car fell 120 meters onto the A7, will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, in Cabeceiras de Basto, where he was born.

The funeral ceremony is scheduled for 10:30 at the monastery of S. Miguel de Refojos.

He will then be cremated in Monte d’Arcos, Braga.

Carlos Lima Ramos was born in the village of Petimão, in Alvite, Cabeceiras de Basto.

As O MINHO reported, the driver lost his life following a huge road accident that occurred on Sunday afternoon, on the A7, in Celorico de Basto.

The victim was driving his vehicle in the direction of Fafe-Arco de Baúlhe when, for reasons that have not yet been determined, he crashed, ending up traveling hundreds of meters in that condition until he fell off the deck of a bridge in the Gandarela area.

The vehicle also slipped from a national road into an open field further down, causing the immediate death of the young man who studied at the São Miguel de Refóios day school, also in Cabeceiras de Basto. He was linked to the Águias de Alvite club.

According to a source from the Tâmega e Sousa sub-regional command, the bridge from which the vehicle fell is around 120 meters high.
