Sporting and Sporting de Braga qualified this Wednesday for the semi-finals of the Portuguese Futsal Cup, in Sines, phase of the “queen” competition of the Portuguese calendar for which the Lions of Porto Salvo and Caxinas also qualified.

The “lions”, runners-up in the Portuguese Futsal League, beat Belenenses 8-0, with goals from Alex Merlim (9 minutes), Zicky Té (13), Taynan (18 and 22). André Cruz (29, in own goal), Pany Varela (31) and Hugo Neves (39 and 40).

This Thursday, at 4pm, Sporting will face Leões de Porto Salvo, who defeated Dinamo Sanjoanense 4-3, while at 8pm it will be Sp. Braga’s turn to face Caxinas.

The “arsenalistas”, who lead the main Portuguese futsal division with the same points as Sporting, beat Rio Ave, 7-4. Ístalk Rossetti (4), Tiago Brito (13), Tiago Correia (17), Ygor Mota (23), Robinho (24), Tiago Sousa (36) and Dudu (37) scored for Sp. Braga, with the Vila Condenses reducing the difference through Felipe Simas (12), André Luzia (35) and Bald (39).

Rio Ave thus fell by the wayside, but saw their “neighbor” Caxinas move forward, thanks to a 4-1 victory over Ferreira do Zêzere, with a double from Francisco Oliveira.

The winners of Thursday’s games will meet in the final on Saturday from 5pm.
