The management account and activity report of the Regional Tourism Entity of Alentejo and Ribatejo for the year 2023 were approved, on Tuesday, 26, unanimously.
In a statement, Turismo do Alentejo reveals that the institution recorded, last year, a “positive net result of more than 500 thousand euros” and a “decrease in liabilities”.
The note also highlights the promotion of various promotional campaigns carried out in the domestic market and other special actions, “such as support for the Wine Capital in Ribatejo and other reference events in both destinations”, along with the consolidation of the Caminhos de Santiago, the appreciation of cycling and a “great dynamic” in hiking and industrial tourism.
“Also in terms of management, we created value for the organization”, says the entity’s president, José Santos, quoted in the statement.
The official also says that, “despite the difficulties” encountered, “such as the captivations decreed this year to the investment funds” of the regional entity’s budget, Turismo do Alentejo remains firm and committed “to fulfilling” its “mission and program of action”.
