From the 12th to the 14th of April, the municipality of Ponte de Lima promotes another gastronomic weekend, this time dedicated to a gastronomic delicacy much appreciated by residents and visitors, the Lamprey of Rio Lima.

Available from the beginning of each year until the end of spring, this snack can be cooked in different ways, with emphasis on Lamprey Rice and Bordeaux Lamprey.

Vila Mais Antiga de Portugal continues to invest in a diverse cultural program that complements and enriches the event. On Friday, the 12th at 9:30 pm, Teatro Diogo Bernardes hosts the dance show “Hash#free” by Quorum Ballet.

On Saturday, the 13th, from 2pm to 6pm, you can see the recreation of the passage along “Via Romana XIX – Ponte Velha”, a Roman road from the time of Augustus. In the late afternoon before dinner, indulge in the “Lourear a Pevide” and enjoy a Vinho Verde Loureiro accompanied by a snack.

Ponte de Lima, being a hub for water sports, also hosts the Regional Championship of Hopes on the River Lima, on Saturday, between 9am and 6pm.

At 11 am on Sunday, the 14th, the Street Theater “Os Imigrantes” will be presented by Duplaface – Companhia das Artes. During the afternoon, the entertainment will be at Largo de Camões with the Escola de Gaitas de Ponte de Lima, at 3 pm and Cantares ao Desafio, at 4 pm, which will feature Borguinha de Braga, Naty da Póvoa de Lanhoso, Celeste de Ponte da Barca and Daniel Lopes.
