Festa das Cavacas de Resende opened its doors to a weekend of traditional sweet promotion

The Festa das Cavacas in Resende has already opened its doors. An event that aims to promote this traditional sweet from the municipality, as well as other endogenous products. With a giant tent located in Largo da Feira, the Festa das Cavacas runs until tomorrow, Sunday, April 28th.

At the inauguration, Garcez Trindade, president of Resende City Council, highlighted the fact that the rain had stopped. “It is very important that it does not rain, because the weather always affects these types of events. But we are here to promote our cavacas”he said, adding that “Resende has an opportunity to assert itself in cavacas”.

This is also an opportunity to “to promote local commerce, to enhance and leverage everything that is commerce in the municipality. We take the opportunity to expose everything and give our traders and artisans the opportunity to promote what they do best”. The goal is “to go further so that, next year, we have more people visiting our municipality”.

Garcez Trindade also leaves the municipality to the people “visiting Resende this weekend, it’s a party made for people to taste and get to know this much-loved sweet. If you have time, stop by Resende today and tomorrow to experience this festival and this traditional sweet.”.
