Minhotos beat the Reds in the penalty shoot-out (4-3), after a two-goal draw at the end of regulation time and extra time

Óquei de Barcelos qualified for the final of the Portuguese Roller Hockey Cup, by beating Benfica, 4-3, this Saturday, at the Pavilhão Municipal de Barcelos, after a penalty shoot-out.

At the end of regulation time and extra time the teams remained tied at 2 goals.

The Minho team will face FC Porto on Sunday (4 pm, in that venue) in the decisive game for the award of the trophy. In the first game of the Final Four semi-finals, the Dragons beat Oliveirense, after extra time, also by 4-3.

Benfica opened the scoring through Nil Roca, in the 17th minute, with a strong shot, but Alvarinho equalized for OC Barcelos in the same minute, with a reload, and fixed the result at half-time (1-1).

In the second half, the Eagles took the lead again, through Roberto Benedetto, in the ninth minute, when he aimed for the goal through some Barcelona players. However, the game was equal again ten minutes later (19′), when Miguel Rocha made it two to two, a result that reached the end of regulation time (50 minutes).

Extra time did not break the tie and penalties had to be resorted to to determine the second finalist of the Cup. Poka and Alvarinho scored for OC Barcelos, against the opposition of Benfica goalkeeper Pedro Henriques, and for the Reds only Nil Roca managed to beat goalkeeper Conti Acevedo.
