In the context of what is ‘special’, the Orquestra do Algarve, under the baton of Conductor Martim Sousa Tavaresresponds positively, in Tavira, and carries out the Easter Concert.
The press release regarding this concert states that Easter is a period that lends itself to countless forms of artistic celebration, thanks to the abundance of extraordinary music that exists to celebrate this moment in the calendar.
In this sense, a cultural program has been created through which “you will hear the music of Joseph Haydn, who with his Seven Last Words of Christ on the Cross transposes to music seven states of mind that range from the greatest serenity to the agitation of the earthquake that occurred on Mount Calvary after Christ’s passion .“

This is a work rarely heard in its orchestral version and deserves full attention.
It will be presented in Church of the Third Order of Carmelin Tavira, on Easter Sunday, March 31st, at 6:00 pm. Entrance is free, although subject to seating in the church.
