Repair roads quickly, without the delays of public tenders. This is the purpose of the framework agreement, worth 17.1 million euros, which the Braga Chamber intends to sign, to be valid for four years, with three public works companies, classified respectively 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, in the competition launched for this purpose: ABB-Alexandre Barbosa Borges; Betufam, and Carlos Alberto Martins Vieira & Filhos, Construções.
The contract contracts, called “Framework Agreement for the execution of maintenance and conservation works on public roads” – create a system of readiness on the part of the companies – the three that won the public tender –, so that the Municipality can ask them to be “in a state of readiness” to immediately carry out repair work on municipal roads and roads, whenever necessary.
The Final Report on the Evaluation and Ordering of Proposals and the proposal for approval of the award and approval of the contract drafts will be debated on Tuesday, at a meeting of the councilors’ executive.
Multiple undertakings
The framework agreement aims to conclude multiple public works contracts, for the execution of various repair works on public roads, with the selection of competitors being made based on the criterion of the lowest overall value of the proposal, with the three chosen proposals that presented the lowest overall price, among the seven proposals received.
ABB-Alexandre Barbosa Borges presented a price of 11.7 million, Betufam, 12.6 and Carlos & Filhos, 12.7.
