After the «auspicious» results of Easter, Algarve Tourism has already defined the calendar of events and promotional actions so that the region continues «on the right path to maintain good results» and for the Algarve to be «a destination of choice for throughout the year”.

The president of Turismo do Algarve, André Gomes, is satisfied with the results achieved by the region during the Easter festive period, considering that they are “auspicious” results, which prove that the region is “on the right path to maintain the good results and continue to make the Algarve a destination of choice throughout the year”.

“The Easter results were auspicious and seem to indicate that we are on the right path to maintain the good results and continue to make the Algarve a destination of choice throughout the year. For our part, we maintain our focus on the diversity of opportunities that allow us to stimulate this positive demand”, says André Gomes, president of Turismo do Algarve, cited in a statement sent to the press.

To keep demand high, Algarve Tourism has already defined a calendar of events and promotional activities to be carried out in April, mainly in markets such as the United States, Ireland and Germany, and which, according to André Gomes, aim to “diversify markets and public.”

“In April, we continue our strategy of diversifying markets and audiences, exploring the various motivations capable of arousing the interest of different types of tourists in our destination”, adds the president of Turismo do Algarve.

Thus, in April, the Algarve will, until April 7th, organize a press trip for the German newspaper Frankfurt Allgemeine, while also organizing participation in the Italian fair Fiera del Cicloturismo, which will take place between April 5th and 7th. , in Bologna.

Between April 7th and 10th, Turismo do Algarve also organizes its presence at the Global Meeting & Incentive Travel Exchange event, a workshop dedicated to professionals in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) segment, which will bring together North American buyers and operators tourism and international suppliers specializing in this area.

Later, between the 14th and 21st of April, Turismo do Algarve also participates in the USTOA event – ​​Out of the country meeting, where you will have the opportunity to meet with 25 tour operators from the US Tour Operators Association (USTOA), the association that brings together several tour operators from the United States of America, who will be in Portugal on a visit organized by Turismo de Portugal.

On the 17th and 18th of April, Turismo do Algarve also participates in the Irish Travel Trade Shows events, dedicated to the Irish market and in which the Algarve tourism promotion entity is present together with five companies from the region.

Also on the 17th and 18th of April, Turismo do Algarve supports a famtrip promoted by the Portugal Film Commission, a national public entity responsible for promoting partnerships and opportunities for filming in the national territory, which will take four international film and television producers to the Algarve.

Between the 18th and 24th of April, Turismo do Algarve promotes a press trip for the German magazine Wanderlust, and, between the 30th of April and the 2nd of May, it also participates in the TTR Destinations Roadshow event, an initiative that will take place in Ireland and will be exclusively dedicated to Portugal.
