Portugal favorite to win Euro’2024 in a simulation made… 10 thousand times – Euro 2024

National team smiled in the virtual world; Will he be able to repeat the feat in July?

We are taking great strides towards Euro’2024 and, in order to further increase curiosity about what could happen in the competition, content creator James Lawrence Allcott decided to simulate the race 10,000 times. It is true that some of the results are surprising, but the big highlight goes to Portugal, which was the team that emerged… with the greatest chance of winning the trophy.

Now, Portugal was, from the outset, the team that got the better of its opponent the most times in the round of 16. In probabilities in the simulation in question, this translated into 95.82%.

In the group stage, on the other hand, the virtual world gave Portugal a 67.08% chance of passing the group stage in 1st place, 21.44% in 2nd and just 2.55% in last place.

Regarding the tournament as a whole, the National Team finished the simulation with a 14.74% chance of emerging victorious, ahead of England (11.48%), Spain (10.99%), France (10.85%) and Belgium (7.76% ). Interestingly, Germany, the host of Euro’2024, only comes in 6th (5.76%).

Remember that Portugal will have as opponents, in Group F of Euro’2024, Turkey, Georgia and the Czech Republic. The competition takes place in Germany, between June 14th and July 14th.
