If you thought post-credits scenes were exclusive to superhero movies, think again! Although they are a tradition in productions of the genre, the feature is also used in adventure, horror and even animation features. In “John Wick 4: Baba Yaga“, for example, which hits theaters across the country this Thursday, March 22, there is a post credit scene! But what does it show? And what impact will it have on the acclaimed action franchise? Well, we tell you now! But be careful: this article contains spoilers!

After John Wick (Keanu Reeves) managed to escape from the Continental Hotel in Osaka, which had been invaded by agents of the Marquis (Bill Skarsgård) on suspicion of supporting the excommunicatedthe manager (Hiroyuki Sanada) tries to delay hired killer Caine (Donnie Yen), who is on the hunt for John, facing him personally. Even reluctant, Caine fights with his old friend and ends up killing him in front of his daughter, Akira (Rina Sawayama).

The young woman, who is injured, even tries to attack Caine; who in turn asks her not to continue with the onslaught. He further comments that, at some point in the future, she will come for him. Well then, after all the events of the film unfolded, and the credits were displayed in full, we arrived at the expected post-credits scene!
Freed from his obligations to the Summit, and with his daughter safe, Caine goes to visit her in Paris while she performs as a street artist. He holds a bouquet of flowers and looks happy to finally be able to interact with her without fear. When the young woman stops playing her violin, he starts walking towards her. However, Akira appears coming from the opposite direction, and the camera shows that she carries a knife in her hand.. She approaches Caine and… The scene ends!
It is unclear whether she succeeds in avenging her father’s death or not. The conclusion, like John Wick’s own death at the end of the film, is up to the viewer.
