“20 Days in Mariupol”, which won the 2024 Oscar for best feature-length documentary, continues to be available in cinemas in Brazil. The film is being shown in theaters in the cities of Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, São Paulo, Fortaleza, Salvador, Brasília, Belo Horizonte, Poços de Caldas (MG) and Curitiba.

Directed by Mstyslav Chernov, “20 Days in Mariupol” was also awarded at this year’s Sundance Festival. In addition to taking home statuettes from the Critics’ Choice Documentary Awards and the BAFTA Awards. The film follows Ukrainian journalists who record the Russian invasion of the city of Mariupol, at the beginning of the conflict between the two countries. With no way out, the team records large-scale disasters, such as the bombing of a maternity hospital. In fact, on Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a 100% approval rating.

Winner of the Golden Eye at Cannes, the French César Award and the Spirit Awards, “The 4 Daughters of Olfa” invites the public to learn about the life of a Tunisian woman who had four daughters. The two oldest disappeared, and, to tell their story, the director cast actresses who lived with Olfa for a while. In fact, the film has a 95% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
