A few days ago, we reported here that a Harry Potter actress didn’t understand why the saga still had so many adult fans, considering it was content for children.
This actress is called Miriam Margolyes and she played Professor Sprout in two films: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
Now, another actress from the saga has decided to give her opinion on the matter, showing a position contrary to Margolyes’. We’re talking about Jessie Cave, who played Lavender Brown in the last three films (you might remember her as Ron’s temporary girlfriend).
Cave appeared at Dream it Con and was asked about Margolyes’ comments about the fans, who are now adults. This is what she said:
“It’s a shame that this happened,” he says (thanks, Deadline). “You know how she is – she just wanted to be funny. And I think she didn’t want it to be interpreted that way, I hope.
Then he added, “I really didn’t like that she said that.”
Regardless of Margolyes’ words, the Harry Potter saga shows no signs of slowing down. Hogwarts Legacy was a huge success in the world of video games and a new series is in production at HBO.
