‘A Happy Family’: Grazi Massafera and Reynaldo Gianecchini talk about the new film starring them

O Fantastic this Sunday (31) he spoke with actress Grazi Massafera and actor Reynaldo Gianecchini about the new film starring them. “A happy family” It’s a thriller that breaks the frame of the idealized family.

“This film is a lot about what is hidden. It was even a difficult job for us as actors, because the director always said: ‘it’s the story of what you don’t want to show’. Ok, it’s a beautiful family, two beautiful , with beautiful children in a middle-class condominium. It seems that everything works well. In theory, we would envy this couple, but behind the scenes the house is falling apart inside them”, says Gianecchini.

Grazi highlights how her character, Eva, lives on the edge, trying to balance the demands of motherhood and the pleasure of her own work.

“‘You have to balance issues at home, taking care of your daughters, always being questioned as to whether she has this competence in motherhood. And you become a mother and are also discredited in your profession, as if you could only perform tasks as a mother. No you can have your profession as before”, highlights the actress.

José Eduardo Belmonte directed the film.

“‘Our secrets make us sick’. Isn’t there that saying? I think the film starts a little from this assumption, that, in fact, when you live so much by appearances, it’s difficult to maintain, it’s difficult not to be yourself all the time I always wanted to work with both of them. I think Rafa wanted this image of a happy family and really Gianni and Grazi together have this image, of a perfect couple”, says the director.

Raphael Montes is the writer and screenwriter behind the story. According to Raphael, this time the film script came out before the book.

“I wanted to tell this story a lot by talking to friends and realizing how women in their 40s suffer pressure from all sides. I wanted to write a story that dealt with this, I think this is both in the book and in the film”, says Raphael Montes, author and screenwriter.
