Rotten Tomatoes is a website that gathers opinions, both from the public and critics, and is one of the most reliable places to find out if a film or series is good.

Recently three series, which are available on streaming, received the maximum score on Rotten Tomatoes.

WE WERE THE LUCKY ONES

“We Were The Lucky Ones” is a series that premiered on March 21st on Hulu, so it is likely that it could become part of the Disney+ series catalog. This series is an adaptation of Georgia Hunter’s best-seller, where we follow a Jewish family that is separated during the Second World War, but the family members will do everything to find each other again. One member leaves Europe, another is in exile, and the rest of the family tries to survive almost certain death.

This series has a luxury cast including Joey King (“Bullet Train”, “The Act”, “The Kissing Stand”), Logan Lerman (“The Perks of Being a Wallflower”, “Fury”, “Percy Jackson and the Thieves of Olympus”), Sam Woolf (“The Witcher”, “The Crown”), Hadas Yaron (“Mary Magdalene”), Robin Weigert (“Our Son”, “Bombshell”) and Henry Lloyd -Hughes (“Killing Eve”, “Ragdoll”).


QUIET ON SET: THE DARK SIDE OF KIDS TV

“Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” is available in Portugal on HBO Max, and has a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. This series has made people talk due to statements from actors, now adults, who worked at Nickelodeon as children or teenagers and who suffered abuse.

This documentary series focuses on Nickelodeon’s popular children’s shows during the 1990s and early millennium, and in particular what went on behind the scenes involving producer Dan Schneider.

It was during this documentary that Drake Bell revealed that he was abused by a speech coach.

In addition to Drake Bell (“Drake and Josh”, “Todos ao Monte”), this documentary featured stories from Giovonnie Samuels (“All That”, “Páginas de Liberdade”), Alexa Nikolas (“Zoey 101”, “The Walking Dead”), Leon Frierson (“All That”), Kyle Sullivan (“All That”, “The War at Home”), Katrina Johnson (“All That”) and Raquel Lee (“The Amanda Show”, “Real Husbands of Hollywood”).

“Jerrod Carmichael: Reality Show” is available in Portugal on HBO Max, with a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

This “Seinfeld” style documentary series where we follow the life of comedian Jerrod Carmichael, and how he deals with his personal life, in particular with a mother who cannot accept that her son is homosexual because of his religion, and a father who had a parallel family for years. All this while trying to do comedy.
