Listeners celebrate 25 years of Banda B with special coffee

A morning full of joy and celebrations. This was Rádio Banda B’s birthday coffee, this Sunday (31), at the Leve Sabor confectionery, in the Tarumã neighborhood, in Curitiba.

‘Rádio do Coração’ celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special party for listeners this Easter Sunday. The guests were drawn during the broadcaster’s programming and were able to enjoy the moment together with Banda B’s communicators.

The Catholic country duo Álvaro and Daniel helped make the party even more lively.

“We have a history with Banda B since the beginning of the radio, with Roberto Hinça who is a great friend who introduced us here in the region. From then on, our entire trajectory passes through Hinça, Luiz Carlos Martins and this team”, considered Álvaro.

Daniel revealed that he has fond memories of listening to Banda B and remembering his mother and childhood.

“I personally have been a radio listener since I was a child. So, participating in this moment is a joy, an honor. It’s very exciting to be on this radio that touches our hearts”, said Daniel.

The magic of radio was evident in the smiles of listeners. Many realized the desire to personally meet the voices that are their daily companions.

“My relationship with Banda B goes back a long way, my parents were the ones who taught our family to listen to the radio. I continue to listen to Banda B because of the ideas and help to the people. It’s great to be here”, said professor Ironir Ramos.

Owner Eliane Alves Pereira had a photo from the birthday party when the radio turned nine. Today, 16 years later, she was able to see the Banda B family again and relive happy moments.

“I cherish this memory. My mother always listened and we liked to comment on topics. Now that she has passed away, I listen to the radio and think: ‘Wow, I could talk to her mother’. Today I’m going to take a new photo to remember the happy moments,” she said emotionally.

25 years on air

Rádio Banda B completed 25 years on the air last March 1st. Fruit of the dream of radio host Luiz Carlos Martins, owner of the catchphrase “Oi, Oi, Gente Querida”, the station became, over time, a unique radio station.

“Band B gives the listener a voice and space for them to give their opinion, participate, vent and so, many tears and laughter have already happened live. That’s why it’s the radio of the heart. I am very happy for everything we have built together in these 25 years”, said Luiz Carlos Martins.

The Banda B breakfast is one of the commemorative actions during this year 2024.

“There are 25 years of relationship with the listener. You know when you talk to a close friend you trust? This is how Banda B radio works on a daily basis. Our audience is very loyal and this motivates us all the time. The microphone here is ours and, when I talk about ‘ours’, I am mentioning the listeners, the communicators and the advertisers. We are a family that informs, debates, laughs, cries and vibrates every day for 25 years”, said Denise Mello, executive director of Rádio e Portal Banda B.

“There’s no radio like it”

The campaign to celebrate the station’s 25th anniversary launched a new jingle (check out our video jingle below). The lyrics speak of the unique characteristics of Banda B. There is no equal content, no equal sport, no equal team, no equal journalism, no equal music, no equal communicators, in other words, “there is no equal radio”.

“Banda B is a radio that has kept its origins and purpose alive for 25 years! It is one of the few ‘roots radio stations’ that still maintains this characteristic in Brazil! It’s a radio for charismatic communicators, with a history in radio, like my father Luiz Carlos Martins, who created this radio from his heart. Banda B is a friend of its listeners, it lives off content and providing services for the benefit of the community. This makes it a unique radio, which is why we created this slogan in celebration of its 25th anniversary: ​​there is no radio like it”, highlighted the director of marketing and artistic department, Mariana Martins.
